Mark Stephen Marengo, 31 Savile Row.
Savile Row based designer Mark Marengo was born in London and brought up in New York and Paris. With these three chic cities offering him their own individual style influences, a career in fashion may have been preordained.
Following a degree in Economics in London, Mark’s first foray into the fashion industry came when he worked with a famous English tie maker. In 1990 he decided to branch out on his own and launched his own label, Mark Stephen Marengo.
In a very short time Marengo was selling his collections worldwide; from Beams in Tokyo, Seibu in Hong Kong, Le Bon Marche in Paris; Barneys in New York to Harrods and Fenwick in London. In 1996 Mark opened his first store off Regent Street under the management of his brother Neil. Their early success was immediate and so ensued further stores around London in the West End, City & Docklands. Mark retains a good following in the Far East, Hong Kong and also Korea.
Everything offered is designed by Mark himself and produced primarily in the finest English and Italian workshops in terms of both fabric and make, wherever possible.
In 2006 whilst undertaking a challenging 2 month sailing voyage; a renewed passion occurred in Mark’s vision resulting in the opening in June 2008 of his flagship store at 31 Savile Row, under the shortened brand name Mark Marengo.
Here, in the grand tradition of the prestigious street, Mark and his team of in-house tailors offer fully bespoke suits, custom shirts, ties, hand-made shoes, and accessories, alongside the Mark Marengo prêt-a-porter line.

In Mark’s own words: “The idea behind my designs is to bring a contemporary twist to classic style. Being based on Savile Row I understand the value of traditional techniques but I also feel that fashion should continually evolve. At Mark Marengo we have paired the philosophies of past and present style to create elegant, chic and, fundamentally, wearable menswear.”
